- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
- Spread seeds on baking tray
- Roast for 30–45 minutes
- Stir every 10 minutes
Color change:
- Light roast → light brown (mild flavor)
- Medium roast → dark brown (coffee-like)
- Dark roast → very dark (bitter, smoky)
Most people prefer medium to dark roast.
Let seeds cool completely after roasting.
Pan Method (Alternative)
- Use heavy pan
- Medium heat
- Stir continuously
- 30–40 minutes
Requires attention to prevent burning.
