Who Is James, Earl of Wessex?
James is the only son and youngest child of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Prince Edward and Sophie. The couple also have a daughter, Lady Louise Windsor, who is 22 years old and currently studying English at the University of St Andrews. She was absent from the service due to her academic commitments.
Their mother, the Duchess Sophie, also did not attend, reportedly due to illness over the Easter weekend.
James recently turned 18 in December and was seen wearing a navy suit paired with a red tie and an oversized coat as he arrived at Windsor Castle.
